The Herbert Art Gallery & Museum
- Woven Wonders, Crafts – Taking place Monday – Saturday of half term from 10.30am – 3.30pm, celebrate Coventry’s rich weaving heritage with these creative weaving workshops. - Art Masterclass: Macrame Wall Hangings – Suitable for ages 8-16, join this engaging workshop on Thursday 29th May to learn from a macrame artist how to create a beautiful wall-hanging piece to take home and display. - Brick Dinos Roarsome Family Day – On Saturday 31st May between 10am and 4pm, head to the museum to celebrate the launch of the brand-new exhibition, Brick Dinos, with a hands-on, prehistoric family event. Meet REAL dinosaurs, make some awesome dino crafts, and book tickets to tour the new Brick Dino exhibition. Coventry Transport Museum
- Tinker | Make | Play Engineers – Running both Saturdays and Thursday of half term, 11am – 3.30pm, let them play, explore and develop their engineering skills in a safe and supported environment. Included with entry fee, this drop-in session is great for letting their imaginations run free and creativity take over. - MiCLab Holiday Club | Go-Karts – On Wednesday 28th May, book your child into a STEM workshop unlike any other. Ages 7-10 will be building a simple Go Kart, while ages 11-16 will be designing and building human powered Go Karts. It’s a great opportunity for budding young engineers to develop their creativity, teamwork and tool skills – all for £16.96 per child. Coventry Cathedral
- Family Yoga drop-in – Take a break from the non-stop activities on Wednesday 28th May and drop into a family yoga class at The New Cathedral. Designed to be suitable for primary school aged children, this session is open to everyone to join in, and runs at 11am, 11.40am, and 12.20pm. - Let’s Watch and Make: Cars – On Friday 30th May, enjoy watching Lightning McQueen on the big screen after making some Cars-themed crafts. The Belgrade Theatre
- An Ant Called Amy – On Friday 30th and Saturday 31st May, enjoy this moving story about a little ant that learns how to slow down with the help of her friends. Recommended for ages 5-9, this charming tale is about finding true contentment, even after something difficult. This is shaping up to be a busy weekend, with not one, but THREE events in Coventry City Centre.
- MotoFest Coventry Weekender – Although official MotoFest Coventry is taking a well-deserved break this year, there is still plenty going on this weekend. Many popular elements will still be featured including the classic vehicle displays in Broadgate, Coventry Concours in the Cathedral Ruins, and live motorsport in the Autotest Arena in Gosford Street under the famous Ring Road.
