A first chance to see the Herbert’s latest acquisition, a new artwork by Cora Sehgal Cuthbert created in response to the museum’s oral histories collection. In her film, a prayer for Coventry, life starts here (forever), the artist explores themes of migration, belonging, conflict and reconciliation in our daily lives. Zines and ribbons accompany the video and are free for the audience to take away.
Acquisition made possible by 20/20, a 3-year funded programme led by the UAL Decolonising Arts Institute, supported by funding from Freelands Foundation, Arts Council England and UAL.
