The Big Moon at Central Library
September 23, doors open at 8:00pm
Get It Loud in Libraries aims to get people who love music into libraries to see live bands. It has been running for 11 years and has drawn over 43,000 people to libraries across the UK with its live music events. Central Library has taken part in the project for the past two years and has seen huge success with the likes of Spring King and The Amazons, with The Amazons going on to perform at Godiva Festival this year.
The Big Moon will be taking to Central Library on Saturday 23 September, belting out their big guitar and drum sounds in the library, where the likes of musical legends like The Who, Pink Floyd and The Specials performed in the building, formerly known as The Locarno.
The four-piece’s album, Love in the 4th dimension, has been shortlisted for 2017’s Mercury Prize, alongside bands such as Alt J, The XX and Ed Sheeran.
